1. About The Mothership

The Mothership is a sales and customer relationship management platform designed for home remodeling businesses. It enables sales representatives to manage leads, track pipeline stages, schedule appointments, conduct door-to-door canvassing, and present product catalogs to prospective customers. The application is operated by The Mothership and is accessible at www.mothershipcrm.com.

3. SMS / Text Messaging

The Mothership enables sales representatives to send SMS text messages to customers and leads using the Twilio communications platform. The following terms apply to all SMS communications sent through The Mothership:

  • Consent: Recipients provide their phone number directly to a sales representative during an in-person consultation, phone call, or through the contact form on our website. By providing their phone number, recipients consent to receive SMS messages regarding their project, appointments, and follow-up communications.
  • Message types: Messages may include appointment reminders, project status updates, follow-up communications after sales consultations, and responses to inbound customer inquiries. Messages may include phone numbers and links relevant to the customer's project.
  • Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on the nature of the customer relationship and project status. You may receive multiple messages per week during active project phases.
  • Message and data rates: Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
  • Opt-out: You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent to your number.

  • No sharing: We do not share your phone number or SMS consent with third parties for marketing purposes. Your phone number is used solely for communications related to your home remodeling project and customer relationship.

4. How We Use Google User Data

When you connect your Google account, The Mothership requests access to your Google Calendar and Gmail. This access is used exclusively to:

  • Create and update calendar events for appointments scheduled within the CRM
  • Read existing calendar events to avoid scheduling conflicts
  • Display upcoming appointments within the The Mothership interface
  • Send and receive emails on behalf of the connected account for customer communications

We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not share Google user data with third parties, and we do not use Google user data for any purpose other than the features described above. You may disconnect your Google account at any time from your profile settings.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Financial Account Data (Plaid Integration)

The Mothership integrates with Plaid Technologies, Inc. to allow users to connect their bank accounts and credit cards for the purpose of job costing and expense tracking. When you connect a financial account through Plaid Link:

  • No credential storage: You authenticate directly with your financial institution through Plaid's secure interface. We never see or store your bank username or password.
  • Read-only access: Plaid provides us with a read-only access token scoped to transaction and balance data only. We cannot initiate transfers or payments on your behalf.
  • Data collected: We retrieve transaction history (merchant name, date, amount, category) and account balances for display within the application.
  • Encryption: All financial data is stored encrypted at rest and transmitted over TLS 1.2+. Plaid access tokens are stored in encrypted form and never exposed to the frontend.
  • Limited use: Financial data is used solely for internal business expense tracking and job costing. We do not sell, share, or transfer your financial data to any third party other than as required to operate the Plaid integration.
  • Disconnect at any time: You may disconnect your financial accounts at any time through the Financials section of the application. This will revoke Plaid's access token and remove your account data from our system.

Plaid's own privacy practices are governed by the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information with service providers who assist us in operating the platform (such as cloud hosting, database services, and Twilio for SMS communications), subject to confidentiality agreements. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure credential storage, and access controls. All data is stored on servers located in the United States.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email address below.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. You may also withdraw consent for Google account integration at any time from your profile settings page. To opt out of SMS communications, reply STOP to any message. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email address below.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice within the application. Continued use of The Mothership after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
